Lesson Info and Structure
We offer lessons for guitar, piano, keyboard, bass, ukulele, singing, violin, flute, saxophone and clarinet.
All our lessons are one on one, private lessons. We do not offer lessons in groups or classes. We offer beginner lessons, right through to advanced- any level is okay. We offer lessons for children from ages 5 and up, but we also have plenty of adult students- there is no upper limit for age. As our lessons are one on one, any age or level is fine, as you will not need to join in with a group.
Lessons are for 30 minutes, once a week. Once you choose a lesson time, your lesson will be at that regular weekly time. Our music lessons are held between the hours of 2.30pm - 9pm Monday - Thursday, and between 9am - 2pm on Saturday.
Lessons are structured following school terms. There are four terms in each year, each term running for approximately 10 weeks. Between each term there is a break of a few weeks.
Lesson Fees
Music lessons are booked and paid term by term. The average term is 10 weeks long, and costs $370 ($37 per lesson). If the term is longer or shorter than 10 weeks, the fees will be adjusted accordingly. Students can commence lessons at any point during a term, and need only pay the balance of the current term.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque or bank transfer. We do not currently accept card payments.
Cancellations
As lessons are one on one and the lesson time is reserved for the student, 24 hours notice is required when cancelling a class to afford us an opportunity to offer the place to another student who may need a make up. Where 24 hours notice has been provided, missed lessons can be rescheduled at another time. Missed lessons cannot be deducted off of the cost of a term, as lessons are one on one and booked on a term by term basis, and the lesson time has been held for you for the duration of the term.
Lesson payments are non refundable, as we work on a term basis and the spot has been reserved for you once your booking is made. In exceptional circumstances (such as broken fingers etc, resulting in the inability to attend lessons), lesson payments may be deferred to future lessons.
